How We Define Thrivalism

The word thrive and all its variations are gaining popularity in the past couple years. No doubt this has to do with our gaining interest in more than just existing, or surviving. As a domesticated animal, we have long tolerated the status quo. But with the advent of social networking, we are ever aware of the continued environmental degradation of the planet, civil unrest, and global corruption that plagues our modern society.

Many of us have responded by making everyday changes in our lives that have positive impacts in how we live, the way we eat, our relationships with others, and with ourselves. We no longer wish to be sleeping at the wheel of our lives.

This is Thrivalism.
Living in a way that nurtures both body and soul, finding ways to nourish the earth, and demanding more out of our time on this amazing planet. We create community with those of like mind and share our talents and gifts. We teach each other how to grow food, how to work in balance with nature, how to heal ourselves naturally. We share information, we speak out on injustice, we strive to create a better life for our children, and we live integrated with the land, as we see ourselves as her caretaker.

Thrivalists apply principles of permaculture, homesteading, and holistic living in their daily lives. We come in all ages, all races, all shapes and sizes, and various political, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. We look for the common ground that we all share... the desire for a happy and thriving life.

Blessings on your Journey!
